Mughal Miniature Love Scene Painting on Antique Manuscript

Handcrafted in the tradition of imperial Indo-Persian ateliers, this miniature painting from Shreephal Crafts OPC Private Limited is rendered on an authentic-finish antique manuscript leaf. Featuring traditional hand-inscribed calligraphy above an intimate court romance scene, the artwork displays naturally aged, deckled edges that give it the presence of a museum-grade historical folio.

Key Highlights:

• Subject & Visual Storytelling: Depicts a tender moment of royal romance (Ishq)—a Mughal prince and his beloved maiden seated closely on a patterned floor spread with bolsters (gaw-takiya), enjoying wine and intimate conversation against an architectural palace pavilion overlooking a serene lake and rolling hills.

• Illuminated Calligraphy Header: Features hand-inked Arabic / Persian Nastaliq script enclosed within a gold and red ruled border (jadwal), characteristic of classical royal album folios (Muraqqa).

• Fine Artisanal Detailing: Painted using single-hair brushwork with delicate floral tracery on palace alcoves, translucent fabrics (fine muslin drapery), and ornamental jewelry.

• Deckled Antique Paper: The leaf features raw, un-trimmed deckled edges and an aged organic patina, lending it an authentic historic collector's charm.

• Styling & Presentation: Designed for floating glass frames, deep shadow boxes, or traditional matting to highlight the aged deckled edges. Ideal for vintage art galleries, reading studies, executive suites, or heritage living spaces.
